What is expected of you for success in your role
Operational management of Business Services project management/business analyst group and contracts/proposals group (3-5 associates), to ensure that deliverables are produced that meet CHRS and client expectations for quality and timeliness, consistent with cost estimates and project scope and budgets.
Communication and coordination with internal practice area leaders and other subject matter experts, as well as clients pre-, during and post-engagement.
Anticipation and communication of needs of assigned projects.
Representation of and advocacy for assigned projects.
Application of current knowledge trends of global requirements for project management to assist in the refinement of the project management process.
Negotiation of project deliverable scope and timelines with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage, analyze, and provide accurate, relevant data for Project Leaders to make informed decisions on strategies and tactics to mitigate risk, control cost, and ensure customer satisfaction related to assigned project.

Accountabilities in this role
Communication and execution of strategic and operational plans developed in coordination with Regulatory Sciences executive management.
Communication and coordination with practice area leaders to ensure successful project completion.
Development of team members consistent with their skills, potential and career aspirations.
Anticipation and communication of needs for projects to Business Services Project Management leadership.
Representation and advocacy of project portfolio to CHRS leadership.
Interaction with clients to provide guidance and expertise to clients in the area of project management.
Maintain knowledge of current trends of global requirements for project management to further the development of the CHRS and its associates
Development and implementation of strategies for addressing a wide variety of project management needs.
Resolution of client issues related to project requirements.
Implementation of policies and SOPs to meet internal and external client needs.
Establish and manage performance dashboards, analyze event triggers and alerts, and determine appropriate follow up for Project Leader or others to act upon.
Coordinate project schedules, scope, estimates, cost control, risk management activities.
Review and approve project invoices on behalf of Project Leader.
Implement change order control processes.
Ensure Project Leader has timely and accurate data on areas including cost, schedule, scope, utilization, change orders, quality to support better decision-making.
Develop and maintain relevant sections of Project Execution Plans.
Assist project sub-team leads in defining resource requirements, utilizes systems in order to monitor status.
Prepare correspondence, including meeting minutes, for study team and/or customer.
Organize and support Project Leader in managing internal project team and customer meetings.
Prepare presentation materials including study data for internal study team and customer meetings.
Bachelor's degree in life sciences or other related field and minimum of 1 year of relevant regulatory, clinical research experience (with analytical/financial skills - preferably); or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Minimum three years’ experience in project management.
Strong financial and general business management experience to create and manage project budgets.
Ability to work across cultures and geographies with a high awareness and understanding of cultural differences.
Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work with colleagues and clients in a consistent professional manner.
Strong organizational, supervisory and employee development skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with a diverse group of individuals located in multiple locations.
Good software and computer skills, including MS Office applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with leading process improvements (e.g.,lean six sigma) (preferred).
Proven ability to identify and define problems.
Proven ability to draw appropriate conclusions; propose solutions and/or correct actions.
Proven ability to organize and prioritize work and manage projects in a timely and effective manner.
Demonstrated ability to manage different types of complex, multi-faceted projects.
Strong ability to manage through change and conflict resolution.
CAPM or PMP certification (preferred).
Ability to influence without authority.
Ability to travel occasionally.
