Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager, Market Research is to perform brand and consumer research to support and inform business and marketing strategy initiatives. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Business Consultation

Collaborate with internal clients across all departments to identify needs, develop research plans, cost comparisons, recommend appropriate methodologies, and support guest focused, data-driven decision-making.

Develop, implement and manage a systematic process to build organizational capability around research infrastructure, methodologies and client relations.

Establish solid working relationships with internal clients to understand and refine research needs and recommend appropriate methodologies.

Provide marketing insight to help business leaders better interpret the results and provide insights and potential next steps.

Proactively seek out consumer, industry and market trends; as well as competitive information to inform the business.

Project Management

Collaborate with Director of Advertising and Brand, Corporate Market Research and outside vendors, as needed, to ensure the project objectives are met, completed on time and

within the specified budget.

Interpret the brand standards and work to ensure the communication and messaging across guest facing surveys is aligned.

Manage research vendor relationships, maintain updated vendor list and issue RFP’s to source new vendors.

Proactively communicate progress, results, and issues in a highly effective manner.

Technical

Independently manage all aspects of project plans including study design, client interaction, research instrument design, qualitative and quantitative analysis, project management and report writing.

Research, source and evaluate data sources; administer and manage data collection instruments to conform to research objectives and specifications.

Analysis & Reporting

Translate data from multiple sources into actionable/insightful analysis of findings.

Deliver custom reports summarizing key insights and measures.

Present reports to colleagues and executives in a professional manner, with a high level of competency.

Provide insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to support strategic and tactical decision-making.

Drive the continual discovery of consumer insights to guide brand strategy, brand communication, marketing, innovation and other initiatives.

Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required, MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.

7 years of primary consumer market research experience required.

Experience in travel and leisure, hospitality, gaming, consumer product goods or another consumer-driven industry preferred.

Excellent collaboration skills and highly effective written and oral communication required.

Ability to translate data in clear, concise, actionable and insightful reporting will be needed for success in this position.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities; must be able to maintain high standards for research quality and tight deadlines.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.

Must be able to obtain and maintain [list required licenses, such as a valid Nevada Driver's License, Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card, etc.] and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines

Withstand various activities such as sitting for long periods

Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned

Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas of the property.

Must be able to frequently move freely about the office, maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machine, etc., withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
