Position Overview:

The marketing manager is responsible for supporting the NRG C & I generation go-to-market strategy, the delivery of integrated marketing and brand alignment, and marketing plans across all customer touch points.

The position will assist in the development of, implementation and monitoring of multi platform marketing plans and facilitating strategic customer partnerships. This role will also oversee the execution with all communications channels, including but not limited sales, PR, creative services, the web, social, and sponsorship to ensure alignment and cohesion.

 

The selected individual must have a strong understanding and command of acquisition and retention initiatives, online/social media, direct marketing, public relations, community involvement, advertising and brand management.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

 

*Work with senior leadership to develop both short term and long-term strategic marketing plans from idea to execution *Work across the businesses to ensure alignment and ongoing support for the plan *Align program positioning, value proposition, messaging and creative strategy by understanding and refining senior leaderships goals and objectives *Work across the business to ensure alignment and ongoing support for the plan *Participate in strategic discussions and provide creative solutions *Work with internal teams to ensure coordination and consistency across all marketing channels *Continuously test and report results *Ability to push boundaries, try new and innovative ways of thinking about and doing things, grow new businesses within a company *Maintain brand image, identity, and communication style while understanding how to position it to communicate effectively *Ensure consistency and maintain brand integrity and compliance among all creative *Ask tough questions. Dig deep.  What does success look like? *Come to the table with ideas for the most effective messages and strategies for the marketplace.

Minimum Requirements: 

 

*Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, advertising or a related field *

Minimum of seven  years experience in marketing, advertising, and account or project management *

Must have experience building and implementing successful strategic marketing plans *

Must have strategic marketing experience across entire marketing mix

Preferred Qualifications:

 

*Experience in energy markets *Knowledge of distributed generation technologies 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

*Knowledge of best practices and effective touch strategies in prospect/customer communications in the B2B space *Experience using qualitative/quantitative research and insights to drive program success *Ability to maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership, customers, and vendors *Ability to lead complex projects involving various departments and functions *Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills *Ability to think strategically to provide solutions *Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills *Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills *Ability to drive decision making and alignment across business teams *Ability to multitask and perform in an ever-changing environment *Ability to work successfully in a matrix organization with competing priorities *Sets high expectations for self and work; self-motivated and resourceful *Ability to be flexible and nimble; to adapt as the business model develops

 Working Conditions:

 

*Primarily an office environment. *Some overtime required as special projects arise.
