Title: Maximo/Oracle Database Administrator

Support IBM Maximo System administration and Maximo Integration Framework in an Oracle database environment. Maintain Oracle database objects and perform database capacity planning, configuration, some performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery. Participate in Information Assurance compliancy procedures and controls for application software and systems.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Maximo Asset Management System administration and configuration; workflow development and administration along with a major role in end-user support.
Script automation for Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
IBM WebSphere Server maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting.
Manage database structures by monitoring and adjusting the internal structures (tuning) as required.
Defines, establishes and performs regular backups of designated databases.
Involvement in planning, designing, creating, installing, customization, upgrades and maintaining of databases to meet defined requirements.
Perform upgrades of the database and software to new release levels.
Documents databases and deployed applications.
Provide training for new users or for new application products.
Perform DoD Database Security technical implementation and documentation or Oracle databases and IBM WebSphere.
Assist clients with Maximo user account related issues.
Perform other duties as required
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Minimum physical elements: Sitting. Lifting, pushing or pulling of 10-25 lbs. Office Laboratory.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or similar discipline is required. Five years of directly related IT experience may be substituted.
Oracle DBA certification or three (3) years of Maximo Administration Experience.
Maximo administration and/or application familiarity.
IBM WebSphere Application Server a plus.
MIF to load data into Maximo a plus.
Oracle 11.2 experience a plus.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance within 180 days of employment. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment, and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.
