MicroStrategy Engineer
We are seeking smart, innovative engineers who will help us build our next generation of Server and Data platform. We are looking for smart, talented & energetic people who are passionate about building high quality software. You should be highly motivated, be able to find your way through ambiguity and are self-driven. You are expected to tackle the hardest problems in the team and bring your knowledge and experience in pursuit of continuous excellence.
The MicroStrategy Engineer will need to have 3 years of overall experience with designing and implementing reporting and dash boarding projects using the MicroStrategy BI platform.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated, measurable experience in the following core areas:
MicroStrategy report development
MicroStrategy project design and data set development
MicroStrategy web and mobile dashboard development
Responsibilities:
Design and implement a MicroStrategy-based BI solution for a cutting edge data mobilization company
Develop MicroStrategy reports and dashboards
Interact with Oracle developer(s) to address and resolve data source issues
Collaborate with data architect to address and resolve data structure questions / concerns
Follow up as needed with appropriate business units to resolve impediments related to MicroStrategy report design and development
Administer the MicroStrategy environment including user access, project versioning and migration, and following up on support cases with MicroStrategy support
Manage the scheduling and distribution of standard reports
Provide support for MicroStrategy data quality and report issues
Required Qualifications:
Experience with MicroStrategy 9.2.1 and 9.3 including desktop architect, MicroStrategy web, object manager, integration manager, and Data Cubes
Highly skilled in MicroStrategy web and desktop
I-server administration experience
Ability to analyze, understand and troubleshoot complex technical issues
Good verbal and written communication skills
Expert organizational skills
Experience working with Agile development methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Building MicroStrategy mobile applications
Ability to capture and document user requirements
