Mid - Senior Level SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)
Mid-Senior Level SQL Server DBA/Database Administrator able to travel (up to 20%) and perform consulting assignments, assessments, migrations, be on call for support and perform troubleshooting for multiple clients. Work out of our Colorado Springs (CO) office when not traveling. Will require participation in on call support rotation. Will require daily multi-tasking among multiple clients

REQUIRED:
DBA Experienced with:
SQL Server 2000, 2005, and 2008 (Mid-Senior level)
Must communicate effectively both verbally and written
Must be able to demonstrate ability to trouble shoot and research technical issues.
Must have extensive (3 ) years experience with SQL Server replication including Snapshot, Transactional, Transactional with updatable subscriptions, Merge and Peer to Peer replication.
MINIMUM of 3 Years experience in IT
High level problem determination and resolution skills
Deployment and upgrade of engine & clients
Experience with DTS/SSIS Packages, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints and cursors
Logical and Physical database design, performance, scalability and tuning reviews/assessments (DB and SQL
tuning), and query monitoring
Backup recovery, high availability/Cluster and DR
Strong skills in Replication
Assisting, troubleshooting and guiding developers with any issues
Ability to provide configuration, monitoring and on-call support for development, test, and production environments
DESIRED:
Microsoft Certifications a plus
Other DB platform (Informix, Oracle, DB2 UDB or MySQL) experience/certifications a plus
Technical support or call center support experience a plus
Advanced Database tuning expertise a plus
Optimizing loads of large volumes of data into a database a plus
Migrations experience a plus
Experience coding stored procedures, triggers
Professional Consulting Experience a plus
VPN/Network/RDC configuration and debugging skills a plus
