Profile

Job Summary
Act as the subject matter expert responsible for collaborating with VA staff to define system architecture and design strategy for the VA’s cloud services offerings.
Role and Responsibilities include the following:
· Provide suggestions to SMS Technical Advisory Services group on industrial technology trend on cloud computing and system architecture, as well as technical direction of the product.
· Provide technical leadership to the team regarding system design, architecture, and integration.
· Make recommendations about platform and technologies (database servers, application servers, libraries, and frameworks) adoption, and write proof-of-concept code.
· Work closely with other system architects, development teams, and operation teams to deliver high quality products and customer satisfaction.
· Define solution and strategy, technology innovation and enterprise architecture services.
· Lead system design activities or reviews system designs to ensure that applications solutions will exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
· Lead technology and product general assessments, detailed evaluations, and final selections.
· Educate and provide technical advice to management and client.
· Lead the preparation of solution and strategy work products, technology and product analysis, white papers, and responses to management queries on technology and product related topics.
· Represent company in technology discussions with the customer; ensures client satisfaction.
· Drive technology innovation through rapid proof of concepts.
· Drive system and architecture development methodologies.
· Work under general supervision, a wide degree of creativity and latitude required.
Required Experience:
· Bachelor s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Demonstrated ability of defining and developing industry-leading datacenter networking solutions.
· Proven record of innovation in the networking services domain.
· Knowledge of emerging datacenter networking trends and standards.
· Experience with Cloud products, VMware suite of products, blade servers, and storage.
· Experience with networking protocols L1 to L7.
· Experience with Data Center virtualization.
