Caterpillar's Environmental Health and Safety internships are focused on building technical competencies within the areas of environmental affairs, industrial hygiene and safety. In this position you will be assisting EHS staff with various reporting requirements, internal assessments and improvements, waste/recycling contractor desk top audits, and record retention protocols.
This position will be located at our Lafayette, Indiana Facility with expectations of working part time during the school year and full time during the summer.

Internship Program Qualifications:
Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Environmental and Natural Resource Engineering, Natural Resources and Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Management, Safety Sciences, Safety Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Biology, Safety or other Environmental Health and Safety related degreeApplicant must attend 4-year university within driving distance to the facility - 3701 South Street, Lafayette IN 47905Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding) Applicant must be able to work part time during the school year up to 15 hours/week and 40 hours per week during the Summer Desired Qualifications:Leadership experience Previous internship or work experience in an EHS roleExpected graduation date in 2019 and beyondStrong communication, teamwork, analytical and interpersonal skills Strong computer skillsExperience with data analysis/interpretation and dissemination
