Part Time Lecturer - Crime and Justice Studies
The candidate will be expected to teach core courses such as CJS 315: Research Methods, CJS 324: Gender, Crime and injustice and CJS 380: Abolitionism. A critical and interdisciplinary understanding of justice rooted in intersectionality and knowledge of social justice is a requirement for teaching all our courses. Additional courses from our listings may be available depending upon area of expertise. Must provide evidence of effective undergraduate classroom instruction. Applicants are invited from fields drawing upon Black Studies, Queer, Women's and Gender studies, Ethnic Studies, Native American, Chicana Studies, History, Whiteness, Sociology, Criminology, Law and Society, and related fields. Applicants from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups are especially encouraged to apply. ABDs will be considered but a Ph.D. is preferred. A Master of Arts (MA) and/or a Juris Doctor (JD) is required if the candidate is not pursuing a doctoral degree. Teaching experience is required with documented proficiency.
