THE POSITION OF FINANCIAL ANALYST WILL BE BASED IN ROCHESTER HILLS, MICHIGAN
The mission of the Financial Controller area is to provide Torsion Control Products' management, B&PT management, and the Corporate Controllers organization accurate and timely financial information. This will be accomplished with a systematic and disciplined approach of maintaining financial information and records.
The Principal Financial Accounting Analyst will take a lead role in a broad range of financial activity, including the monthly closing process, provide guidance for financials, operational management to maintain Hyperion Enterprise actual and Planning forecast data, create and provide information requests to the above constituencies, lead efforts during internal and external audits, and other duties as required.
The role also includes support and guidance in sales forecasts, sales and general admin spending analysis, project support and other financial analysis.
Preparation and tracking of General Ledger journal entries and other data, both internal to SAP and from external sources, posted to the General Ledger.
Creates and analyzes required financial statements and supporting schedules to load to Hyperion Enterprise to be performed accurately and within strict established deadlines.
Responsible for preparation of accurate account reconciliations and analyses including supporting schedules and documentation for balance sheet accounts.
Provide guidance during the annual business planning process to site management and analyze and assemble business plan data for review by the Financial Controller.
Maintenance of strong internal controls over financial business processes and provides internal control guidance over non-finance business processes.
Maintenance of entity internal control procedures in accordance with current corporate requirements.
Lead efforts during internal and external audits as well as government compliance requests for information.
Responsible for financial information requests based on required due dates, including forecast information and analysis consolidated in Hyperion Planning.
Support in sales forecasts, sales and general admin spending analysis, project support and other financial analysis.
Lead efforts to Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for financial and non-financial business processes.
TECHNICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:
Strong understanding of economic factors, accounting, business fundamentals and financial metrics
Ability to provide guidance influence senior company executives to drive sound decision making
Experience in generating, analyzing, forecasting and reporting financial data for the business
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce or Economics and 8 years of experience
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing and 6 years of experience
