We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Product Development Coordinator

in our New York City office. Does this sound like you?

The purpose of the Product Development Coordinator

is to assist the Portfolio & Learning Content (Editorial) team in all areas of acquisitions, development, and launch of print and online content for the Social Sciences, Psychology and World Languages Higher Education markets. The successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative duties including correspondence, filing, completing forms, processing author, reviewer, and contributor payments, managing data, helping with research on competitive titles, web sites, and pricing, working with contributors, etc.

Responsibilities include:

Actively engage in all functional areas (development, market development, market research) to support and manage priorities across multiple team functions.

Set-up vendors, process invoices, and monitor and maintain budgets for all assigned titles.

Conduct sales and/or market research for key titles or course areas.

Author content/product reviews, coordinate virtual focus groups, contact reviewers to secure commitment, commission reviews, create questionnaires, manage schedules, process honoraria, and create and maintain review data files. Analyze and evaluate reviews and develop synopses of the review's findings.

Build relationships with key customers to influence product development to meet market needs.

Support the team in the execution of digital product development.

Work directly with sales force to win business.

Support the team in attaining assigned revenue and EBITDA targets.

Monitor flow and ensure accuracy of information among the product team.

Perform office support duties: submit invoices, draft and circulate contracts, order supplies, monitor supply budget, update databases, maintain project files, send mail and manage postage budget.

Requirements

A successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Major or Minor in a world language (strongly preferred but not required)

• Some degree of fluency in Spanish, French, or Italian (preferred but not required)

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Excellent organization skills

• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills required to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Great attention to detail

• Outstanding presentation skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet, etc
