This position applies technical knowledge and expertise in the development and implementation of new CNC tooling, programs, and improved manufacturing processes. Ensure that the design specifications and procurement of CNC tooling meet company requirements and objectives. CNC Programmers work with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle. CNC Programmers will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality and Production to make the necessary improvements and changes as well as implement new tool designs from initial concept through prototype development and into full production.
CNC Program and Tooling Development and Implementation:
Design of CNC programming and tooling for manufacturing processes.
Collaboration with small teams on in-house development of novel and complex CNC programs.
Close collaboration with external equipment suppliers on tooling design.
Validation and implementation of new CNC programs and tooling into the production floor.
Process Development and Implementation:
Creation of detailed CNC program instructions to define new processes and document new program and tooling operation.
Training of line operators on manufacturing processes.
Skills and Experience:
Proficiency with CNC programming using MasterCAM and Catia
Project management and team leadership.
Familiarity with compliances and Legal requirement of ISO regulation.
Proven Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Experience in metal machining processes.
Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
Well organized with meticulous attention to detail.
Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
