Project - Solar Loan Analyst/Senior Solar Loan Analyst -

PSE&G Solar Loan Program

This project position is part of a multi-level growth series (Grades 26/27). Determination of the grade level to be assigned will be based on experience and competencies of the successful candidate. This is a Solar Analyst position with a stable Fortune 500 utility company located in New Jersey.

The successful candidate will support the PSE&G Solar Loan Portfolio Group which includes a portfolio of loans to residential and non-residential solar energy projects. The Solar Analyst will help the Solar Loan Portfolio Manager in monitoring the portfolio of solar loans and will be actively involved in making decisions and recommendations to optimize portfolio performance. Responsibilities include: coordinate/perform periodic portfolio reviews and preparation of loan review reporting packages, assist loan closings and disbursements of funds, evaluate consent requests from borrowers regarding proposed actions or decisions affecting loans and determine an appropriate course of action based on financial, legal, technical, commercial, and credit considerations.

At the grade 27 level,

all of the above pertains, as well as: develop and implement program procedures/processes, train team associates and contractor support personnel, work with other PSE&G departments, and provide recommendations to senior management regarding solar loan portfolio as needed. The candidate must be able to lead/supervise other team members as needed.

Required Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience:

At the Grade 26 Level:

Bachelor Degree in engineering, business or finance.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance and /or analytical role.

Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large databases and recommend actions based on findings.

Self-initiator and self-directed relative to responsibilities and undertaking projects with good planning and organizing skills.

Advanced Excel skills.

Proven ability to communicate effectively with key internal and external constituencies. Must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity.

Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices. At the Grade 27 Level:

Bachelor Degree in engineering, business or finance, or MBA/other relevant advanced degree.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance and /or analytical role.

In-depth knowledge of PSE&G Solar Loan Program, and experience with operations and construction monitoring.

Proven presentation skills.

Understand, comprehend, and administer complex contractual agreements.

Experience in the wind or solar industry with transaction or structuring experience (at a project developer, financial institution or major law firm) and management or administration of operating projects. Desired Qualifications:

Graduate degree in engineering, business (finance /accounting) or solar related field.

Understanding and familiarity with project finance documentation, related commercial agreements.

Understanding of New Jersey’s solar energy market and familiarity with local utility solar financing programs.

General knowledge of insurance aspects of renewable energy projects.
