Immediate direct hire opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst in Baltimore (city), MD.
Description:
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join the Quality Assurance Team for our client in Baltimore.
The ideal candidate will have five or more years of progressive Quality Assurance and testing experience.
This candidate will have practical experience with all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC) as well as the software testing life cycle (STLC).
This candidate will have five or more years of experience testing web based applications.
The primary responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Analyst will be authoring test cases and performing smoke, functional, negative, regression and cross-browser testing of our signature products.
The Quality Assurance Analyst will report to the Manager of Quality Assurance.
Position Responsibilities
Prioritizing and managing multiple QA projects
Interpreting, analysis and understanding of Requirement/Specification documentation provided for new and existing functionality
Writing and executing test plans, test scenarios and test cases
Performing Exploratory, Smoke, Functional, Negative, Cross-Browser, System and Regression testing
Recording bugs and enhancements in ticket tracker
Assisting Development with research of reported issues
Maintaining records of test progress
Documenting test results
Managing Requirement Traceability Matrices
Required Technical Skills:
Quality Assurance and Testing experience
Understanding of Best Practices
Practical knowledge & experience with Agile & Iterative Software Development Methodology
Passion for Quality Assurance and Software Testing
Skills to author and analyze automated test scripts and results
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to proactively identify and advocate solutions
Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or Information Technology related field or comparative experience
