The Judge Group is a leading staffing firm specializing in contract staffing, permanent placement, training, and project services nationwide since 1970. Judge is working with a leading telecom company to staff an available position within their firm.
This position requires a candidate that has extensive experience creating test documentation for Telecom billing systems, and performing functional and cross functional testing against a Telecom billing system. The ideal candidate should have a practical working knowledge and sound experience with the following billing functions and processes: Billing migrations, Rating, Billing and Invoicing process, Collections process, AR process, Reporting (BI/DWH), Credits, Refunds, Debits and Adjustments process Payment processing, including lockbox Data Replication process, Billing Notifications.
Candidates should have at least 8 years of hands-on testing experience, and at least 3 years' experience in a Lead role or higher. Candidates should be well versed in developing the test strategy and effectively guiding the testers through all phases of the testing process. Strong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic environment is essential. Candidates must be willing to travel to various locations to meet and train with Billing SMEs.
The QE Billing Contractor will report to the QA Manager and be responsible for understanding the business process and business rules governing the billing systems supporting the client. They will capture and document the data flows and process flows between the OSS, BSS, CRM and Portal stacks. Also, evaluation and analysis of baseline functional and system requirements. The ability to perform analysis based on the functional requirements and system level design. Preparation of test plan, test strategy, data flow diagrams, and process flow diagrams. The candidate will plan, schedule and facilitate test planning, test case reviews.
They will provide general application of standards and QA testing (includes functional, UI, regression, system and compliance level testing). Also, develop and execute detailed functional, integration and system level test cases between the OSS, BSS, CRM and Portal stacks. They must report the results of each test cycle in verbal and written form, as well as, report on testing progress in both verbal and written form.
Required:
Sound understanding and experience with testing billing systems in a Telecom domain.
Ability to coordinate testing activities across all levels of the organization.
Experience testing in web and server environments.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on telecom billing testing experience.
At least 3 years of experience in a Lead role or higher.
Practical understanding and experience testing across the Telecom footprint (OSS/BSS/CRM/Portals).
Experienced with test principles and concepts.
Ability to develop and execute repeatable, reusable and detailed test cases at a functional and cross functional level.
Experience in the creation and use of test harnesses and data validation scripts at both the web and server levels.
Sound understanding of the SDLC and the role of QE in each phase of the SDLC.
Knowledge of database systems (data models, data dictionary, schema and ERDs) and concepts.
Experience testing AS400 billing system a plus.
Strong SQL scripting experience.
Understanding of networking principles.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
