Responsible for inspections and tests of product, process or material for all product areas. Occasionally required to perform laboratory testing. Will carry out 1 st piece and machine/set-up inspections, reporting all nonconformances to identify cause and appropriate corrective action. Works within established policies, procedures, practices and regulations.

Perform inspection and tests for any departmental area assigned.
Visually inspect and report defects on products produced or received within the area assigned and initiate hold tags.
Assure set-ups, adjustments and 1 st piece inspections of equipment are conducted prior to starting of production runs and coordinate.
Coordinate equipment problems with department supervisor and maintenance personnel.
Report and log all daily defects and maintain a complete history of files by department.
Coordinate quality discrepancies with production supervisors and quality control to resolve quality problems.
Operate equipment for assigned area such as digital voltmeters, scales, shear test, high rate, etc.
Conduct laboratory tests as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Assist in training of new Quality Assurance Auditors as needed.
Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by manager

High school diploma or GED is required.
Education or experience with a math/science background is preferred. A post high school education is preferred.
Previous Quality Assurance experience is preferred and previous battery experience in Quality insurance is preferred.
