SAP Functional or Techno-Functional Analyst

Profile

The SAP Functional Analyst works closely with members of IT and Business teams to understand reporting requirements and delivery solutions to meet those needs. This position is responsible for delivering reporting solutions through all phases of the project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment of solutions, production support/maintenance functions, as well as documentation and end-user training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Partner with IT and Business team members to define and support functional and/or architectural reporting requirements
* Work with functional/business requirements to design and develop data sources, data extraction, load processes, and security design; develop reports
* Provide production support to the end users in a timely fashion.
* Establish strong business relationships to identify opportunities for process improvements and to emphasize adoption
* Proactively look for ways to apply technology to improve business or IT processes
* Understand the needs of the business and implement enterprise solutions to meet those needs
Requirements:
* 3 years functional experience with SAP FI/CO, SD, or HR
* Bachelors of Science degree in Business or Information Technology; or equivalent experience
* Working knowledge of SAP Modules
* Knowledge of configuration, specifically data objects, Infosources, Tranfer/Update Rules, Info Providers
* Excellent communications skills. Able to communicate in non-technical terms to the end users.
* Strong organizational and analytical skills are required.
* Willingness to learn new technology.
* Desire to develop project management skills
* Desire to continually improve individual skills as well as business processes to ensure consistent, reliable, high quality results.
* Demonstrates high level of initiative and ability to overcome obstacles.
* Other skills not required, but considered a plus:
o Knowledge of Business Objects Enterprise, specifically reports developed using Crystal Reports
o ABAP Knowledge
o Experience through a project lifecyle and/or upgrades
