Senior SQL Programming engineer
Length of Contract: 3 months
Location: Reno or possibly Henderson, NV
Our client
is looking for a senior level SQL Programmer who has a broad background in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to support their dynamic development environment. The key individual will have extensive experience with SQL programming, CL programming, and automation software but will also have a general background and understanding of IT infrastructure, operating systems, virtualization, and software development.
Technical Qualifications
3-5 years of hands-on SQL Programming experience
3-5 years of hands-on AS400 CLP (Control Language Programs) experience
3-5 years of general IT infrastructure support and management
Experience with Automation software – specifically HP Operations Orchestrator and Sagent (Pitney Bowes)
Knowledge of networking protocols
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience performing root cause analysis
Knowledge of SQL code and recognizing code inefficiencies
Knowledge of AS400 CLP (Control Language Program)
Knowledge of PL/SQL
Possess knowledge of Dell server infrastructure
General experience with VMWare technologies
Microsoft Operating environments
Ability to work with multiple operating system environments
Able to articulate both verbally and in writing recommendations and problem resolutions
Possess excellent written and verbal skills
Positive Attitude, self-motivated, and confident
Responsibilities:
Identify and correct inefficient code and streamline processes
Perform root cause analysis of general SQL programming language
Design and construct automated processes using HP Operation Orchestrator, Sagent, and AS400 CLP
Troubleshoot and analyze software bugs
Document findings and recommendations
Articulate recommendations along with potential justification analysis back to development team
Ideal Certifications and Experience
Microsoft Knowledge and/or Certifications desired
VMware Knowledge and/or Certifications desired
Experience working with Dell Servers
Storage knowledge and experience a plus
Networking Experience a plus
