Business Analyst
SUMMARY
The Business Analyst oversees initiatives as part of the product management team building new products and services. This position is responsible for development of the SOFTWARE product development documentation, such as business requirement statements, logical data and process designs, user interface mock-ups, client facing documents, marketing documents, and product test plans. This position coordinates problem & enhancement tracking, leads efforts through the entire product development cycle including product design, initial product testing, and release. The Business Analyst also serves as a key contact for product development, marketing, sales, implementation, support, and training departments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Develops detailed analysis and statistical modeling to drive strategic business decisions for the software division.
Coordinates the design, development, and release of enhancements.
Interfaces directly with internal department leaders to provide exceptional implementation, training and support to clients.
Creates design documentation and user interface illustrations as needed to support internal and external web software development teams
Interfaces directly with clients to assist software Screening in meeting their evolving needs.
Presents on product and project related topics for internal and external audiences.
Provides content for the development of product documentation (including marketing materials, product specs, user guides, release documents, etc.), reviews and approves for internal or external use.
Serves as a key contact for information about products.
Responsible to management for meeting project objectives.
Leads project planning activities and participate in development of more effective business processes.
Acts responsively to urgent client and business needs.
Organizes, participates, and conducts application feature testing and application walk-throughs.
Manages and tracks product issues and enhancements using the internal tracking system and departmental procedures
Responsible for managing multiple tasks and projects to schedule. Reports on progress weekly and measures against goals/initiatives.
Organizes and manages software roadmap by leading client sessions to determine top priority features. Provides monthly feedback to the executive team on product roadmap, product scorecard, and updates to client-facing documentation.
Assists with the analysis and resolution of internal and external support escalations.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
College degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business management or accounting.
Minimum 5 years experience as statistical analyst, business analyst, or in a related field.
Personnel and/or project management experience highly desirable.
Proficient knowledge Microsoft office and SQL analysis tools to validate statistical data.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven technical writing abilities.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Must be able to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team.
Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external management and work collaboratively with interdepartmental teams to achieve desired results.
Experience within multi-family or real estate preferred.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
Possesses the ability to multi-task and move quickly between projects and stages with projects.
Detail oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to sit or stand for frequent periods in the same location with some opportunity to move about.
Overtime may be required as needed to meet department deliverables.
Occasional travel is required.
