Position Details:
The Scrum Master will facilitate and drive Agile development across multiple cross-functional teams.
This person will work closely with peer Scrum Masters to ensure coordination and communication of scrum team interdependencies, planning, and execution. Must have in-depth knowledge of Scrum Process to be able to coach and mentor teams effectively.
Must have the ability to outwardly communicate to key stakeholders on the team’s progress, impediments, and successes.
Technical Skills:
A thorough understanding of Scrum and Agile principles, values, and practices
Experience delivering one or more products through all phases of a SDLC as well as practical enterprise Agile lifecycle experience
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
Ability to translate complex information into ideas and effectively communicate
Strong cross-functional team collaboration skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge on source code and change management control
Works with limited supervision
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) is not required, but a plus
Responsibilities:
Facilitate effective and efficient meetings and Scrum rituals including; Release and Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives, and Daily Scrums
Maintain transparency into the team’s work through product and sprint backlogs, burn-down charts, and other interdepartmental communications
Be a resource to each team member and support the removal of roadblocks as required
Isolation of root problems from exposed symptoms and aid in resolutions
Engage multiple roles and stakeholders in critical discussion, complex new product development discovery and building consensus
Support product managers to maximize ROI and meet the organizations objectives
Assist with product backlog maintenance, story prioritization, and resolution of defects, as directed by product managers
Coach and support continuous process improvement within the team
Help identify and mitigate any external dependency risks in feature/product development
Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and cross-functional teams on deliverables that affect scrum teams goals
