Senior Counsel, Legal Business Partner – Technology
Responsibilities: Will work in particular the Vendor Management Office and to provide legal advice and guidance for complex technology procurement deals. IT/Technology lawyer with deep procurement, outsourcing and technology experience, who would be thriving in a fast paced commercial environment and with a keen interest in computing and related technology. Draft , review, negotiate and structuring commercial and IT agreements including: oMSAs, SOWs, services and consulting agreements, licensing agreements, software development contracts, SaaS agreements, SLAs; work on complex deals involving nuanced global data protection, data security and privacy issues, as well as IP and open source .Work in a collaborative way with colleagues in the global legal function including sharing knowledge and know-how and providing views and comments to assist with the development and maintenance of standardized legal documents, templates, approaches and processes. Ensure knowledge of legislative and regulatory developments remains up to date and relevant to helping the business achieve its strategic objectives. Confer with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issues such as data protection, or IP. Ensure that the business is aware of how to minimize legal risk in the context of maximizing commercial opportunities. Support the business in resolving problems. Assist in ensuring the effectiveness of the legal function and consistency of legal advice and processes globally. Communicate clearly and accurately on legal issues.
