Our client is looking for a
Senior Oracle e-Business Suite Applications Engineer
for a 6 month contract to hire opportunity or a direct-hire opportunity in Folsom, CA.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under the general direction of the Manager, Corporate Systems, responsible for activities related to daily operational support and development, maintenance and enhancements of Oracle e-Business applications. Assignments include applications analysis, design, development, integration, testing, and implementation activities in compliance with established department and corporate policies, procedures and methods.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develops and maintains Oracle Application solutions with focus on Oracle HCM and Financials modules to ensure timely access to accurate, real-time data.
Maintains enterprise application programs for internal and external CLIENT workflow and control functions.
Develops and implements test procedures and processes related to all supported applications.
Creates and maintains documentation and procedures related to the maintenance and operation of application systems.
Develops specifications and procures new applications that support CLIENT internal and external users.
Coordinates with
Human Resources, Finance and various departments to support changes or additions to applications in accordance with CLIENT Change Management policies and procedures, providing
the HR business, application leadership to support continued growth and to migrate from its current HR business applications to a cohesive, HR systems environment
Interacts with vendor staff in the implementation of new systems and modifications to existing business applications.
Analyzes, supports, and resolves real-time computer hardware, software and database issues in a time sensitive environment.
Continually evaluate the information needs of the company's decision makers and users and ensures that IT systems and processes related to our functional business areas are developed and maintained to provide required information.
Ensure that the Enterprise Applications Team & IT resources are aligned with corporate objectives and are efficiently and effectively utilized.
Ensure the integrity of the data and that all dependent business applications are maintained in compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
Converting business requirements into system setups and to create technical specification documents. Develop detailed user requirements / specifications documentation supporting complex system enhancements.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent in general office or equivalent conditions which result in little or no exposure to injury or accident.
May require monthly or quarterly travel to other office worksites, customer locations and/or training/conferences.
May provide 24x7 technical support as required.
Daily time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and with regular opportunity to move about. Occasionally there may be a requirement to stoop or lift or handle material or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Requires normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Level of Education
A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required
Discipline
Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
Amount of Experience
Five or more years related experience.
Type of Experience
Extensive experience in IT applications development, analysis, support and project management. Oracle Apps technical architecture and functional process design and configuration for Core HR, Payroll, Advanced Benefits, iRecruitment, iPar, and Learning Management. Oracle Apps fit-gap analysis, design, development, integration, testing and deployment.
Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite (HCM & Financials) with Oracle 11i required.
Knowledge of Java, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle 11i, MS-SQL server, OA Framework (JDeveloper), required. Knowledge of Oracle AME, workflow, XML/BI Publisher, reports design and development, desirable.
Other
Strong analytical, troubleshooting skills, verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to effectively document and convey technical information to non-technical audiences. Self-motivated, problem solving skills and the ability to influence others without direct authority.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as a facilitator and team member. Must be able to handle a dynamic and changing work environment, and work well independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
