Duties: Serves as regulatory compliance analyst, educator and manager who exercises operational responsibility on a daily basis for the Institutional Review Boards to which they are assigned charged with protecting the rights and welfare of human research participants. Responsible, either directly or through managing others, for ensuring that IRB protocols satisfy federal regulations, guidelines and institutional requirements. Although employed in the Office of Vice President for Research, any selected candidate who is an attorney would be invited to join a network of internal University attorneys who have "dotted line" relationship to University Legal Counsel for the purpose of coordinating oversight of legal and regulatory issues arising within their subject matter areas.
