Senior Release Engineer

Profile

We are looking for a detail-oriented release engineer to join our Engineering Services team in Waltham. We need someone able to manage project work along with support of our engineering staff in a very fast-paced environment.
The role includes working with source control systems, continuous integration environments, build systems, scripting languages, and supporting the development and operations staff.

Activities include:
Supporting Git and Subversion source control environments.
Working with QA and operations teams for deployments to test and production environments.
Developing Python modules for build and deployment support.
Automating flow from development to production of source code modifications, i.e. continuous integration.
Creating and supporting Maven and Rake build environments
Requirements:
B.S./M.S. in Computer Science preferred.
Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
Software build lifecycle knowledge.
Scripting language experience.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Ability and interest to closely collaborate with a wide-range of individuals to understand business needs and requirements and to understand how these can be met using a variety of different technologies.
Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies
