 Position overview

The Service Manager for

IT Assets (Financials) is a key member of the team that provides company-wide

governance and inventory management of IT Hardware (data center infrastructure

and end-user devices), Software assets, and related services.  Reporting to the Manager of IT Asset and

Configuration Management, the successful candidate will combine IT

asset-lifecycle experience with an understanding of the financial implications

of the asset lifecycle to provide sophisticated financial projections of the

asset-related spending and the downstream financial impact.  As a result, this position will influence

strategic asset investments.  The

incumbent will also partner with our operational and procurement teams on large

and small asset acquisition efforts.

 

Quantitative

Skills:

Strategic

leadership in developing internal financial practices for IT assets, while

aligning to corporate financial policies.

Create

a consistent, central point of contact for financial impacts of IT assets.

 

This

role shapes projects/investments to meet business strategies and ensures

on-time delivery of asset management enhancements and new services.

Responsibilities may

include

Analyzing

and providing financial planning for the hardware and software assets, cloud

agreements, and impacts to the Managed Services spend related to current and

forecast operational activities.

 

Responsible

for collaborating with Supply, Finance, and IT leadership teams to design and

manage commercial/cost/pricing terms for IT related commercial agreements and

services;

 

Provide

support and guidance to Service Providers in fulfilling their Service Asset

& Configuration Management (SACM) roles and responsibilities;

 

Key

contributor to project teams for integration of new and enhanced IT services

into operational support.

 

','!*!Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s

degree in Business Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems or related

field Minimum of five (5)

years of experience working in an Information Technology field.Experience

developing and delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical

audiences.Experience

with financial projections of IT hardware and/or software.Experience

leading project or process changes with cross-functional teams.

Desired qualifications  

Masters Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or

related field ITILv3 certification(s) or experience working with the

ITILv3 methodologyIAITAM certification(s) or experience working with IAITAM methodologyCertified

project managerExperience

managing vendor engagement and performance delivery.Experience

supporting vendor software licensing audits.
