The Shift Assistant position would be responsible for daily management of department duties; including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, providing work direction and communicating with internal and external suppliers. Key Job Elements: \u2022 Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers \u2022 Track and report of ATS/labor hours \u2022 At times assist with production duties, train associates and verify SOP compliance \u2022 Ensure successful area performance, through tracking and reporting metrics. \u2022 Independently assess all aspects of associate work performance and provide feedback. \u2022 Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives \u2022 Fully understand workflow and daily production goals \u2022 Review and update SOP as required \u2022 Ensure work areas remain clean and are equipped with proper equipment and supplies. \u2022 Identify and address safety hazards within the work area \u2022 Coach associates to work safely at all times \u2022 Participate in safety initiatives \u2022 Ensure all job injuries are reported timely in accordance with established policy and procedure.
Basic Qualifications\u2022 High School Diploma or Equivalent \u2022 Ability to lead provide direction utilizing independent judgment \u2022 Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills \u2022 Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal) \u2022 Ability to work overtime as required \u2022 Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas \u2022 Able to work in various temperature conditions \u2022 Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each\u2022 Lift, bend, reach above the head; kneel; crouch; and or stretch during shifts \u2022 Push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts \u2022 Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
