As Senior Analyst of Engineering Finance, you provide support and financial analysis to business partners that enables effective decision making and use of Company resources.  The person will work closely with engineering management to understand what products the engineering teams are spending their time on and use that information to allocate development costs to products. They will support product decisions through product business case and stage gate decision processes.  This Senior Analyst will collaborate with a large number of team members including each of the business units, other Company functions as well as other Finance teams.

This position offers insight into each of the Engineering teams at Micron, including DRAM, NAND, 3DxP, Systems (SSD and Managed NAND) and Controller Solutions.  This is a unique opportunity to gain knowledge of Micron's current and future product roadmaps.  Knowledge and experience gained in this position will provide a platform for many other opportunities within Engineering Finance and in other Finance teams. 

Responsibilities and Tasks

*Work with engineering teams to understand resource capacities and allocation to various product programs *Maintain a model of record for allocation of engineering resources and resulting cost allocation *Support business units with financial analysis of design, development & validation costs for product business case estimates and PLM stage gate decisions *Measure and analyze performance to plan for key development programs *Facilitate effective reviews of the cost of new product development & introduction *Determine expense budget and monitor performance to plan *Work closely with engineering team on certain goal metrics and performance to plan


*Demonstrated analytical & problem solving skills *Effective verbal & written communication skills and the ability to work across functional boundaries *Ability to organize priorities to meet deadlines *Ability to effectively manage tasks with high complexity or ambiguity

Education & Experience

*Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance *5+ years finance experience
