The selected candidate will be a key member in the Information Technology organization which is responsible for the development and support of software applications. The Senior Developer/Analyst will have a key role in mentoring staff members and communicating with the business community and offshore development resources.
This position reports to Project Manager and serves as a resource for other employees. They may communicate instructions, do minor scheduling, and inspect work.
This person will spend approximately 30% of their time coding new software applications and/or the modification of existing software applications, 10% in support (issue resolution) of existing software applications, 30% in analysis (scope and requirements) and design, 20% interacting/communicating with business users and off shore resources, and 10% in the coaching/mentoring of staff members including off shore resources.
Additional responsibilities can include:
Technical leadership
Technical design for projects. This is a major requirement when working with offshore resources
Provide technical assistance with environment setupconfiguration
Provide guidance regarding tech-related processes such as development builds, testing, etc.
Liaison for informationdirection regarding process or technical changes within the organization (i.e.: build procedures, coding standards, etc.)
Review prototypes
Provide technical and process mentoring
Perform code reviews
Estimate project work and review project estimates of team members
Design and estimation for pre-governance work
Assist Project Manager in finalizing project schedule
Could be involved with several projects at one time in regards to design and support
Will NOT manage people
Develop technical direction for the project and ensure technical quality of the code delivered

Selected candidates must furnish DTI with required paperwork, including (but not limited to) background check permission requests, an employment application, and profile development documents as a condition of employment. A valid driver's license and valid, reliable transportation are both bona-fide qualifications for this position.
