The Role:

Ticketmaster's Digital Ticketing Technology Team (called Presence) leverages industry-leading technologies, including mobile devices, to provide fans the ability to use their smart device in place of a paper ticket. Of course, fans can transfer, sell or use their digital ticket from their mobile device as well.

The team develops and supports various back-end and front-end technologies as part of the digital ticketing process. As the Engineering Manager for the team you will be responsible for the day-day activities and driving the Product roadmap and schedule.

What you'll be doing:

Build and grow a team of expert engineers to deliver world class products.

Collaborate with various business owners and define product specifications and expected outcomes.

Direct, review and approve engineering designs and implementation.

Lead and organize the team to meet Product roadmaps and commitments to ensure that the that deliver the highest value

Set and manage uptime, system responsiveness, and other key metrics.

Coordinate work across multiple teams that are impacted by the changes digital ticketing brings to the Ticketmaster ecosystem.

Attract and retain a team of highly skilled IT professionals that are well aligned in their understanding of both company and departmental objectives, direct and evaluate their work, and provide feedback and guidance to ensure skills remain relevant.

Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and creating reports, enforcing governance, and contribute to decisions concerning the product.

What you need to be successful in this role:

Proven ability to build, recruit, and lead technical development and support organizations.

Deep experience with AWS and cloud based infrastructure and systems. A minimum of 5 years engineering AWS solutions.

Experience managing native iOS and/or Android mobile development.

Knowledge of complex, mission-critical architectures and best-practices.

Very strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Experience leading software development teams utilizing Agile processes and software development tools including Java, iOS, Android, Go, NodeJS, React, Aurora and Kafka.

Practical experience in supporting and developing business critical applications.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience.

Background in object oriented application design, development and debugging required.

Must have excellent organizational and communication skills

Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and possess the demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities in business-driven product lifecycles.
