This position is responsible for providing professional technical services to CA APM customers across the range of CA APM products, through the software lifecycle, providing optimized Java/J2EE, .NET, PHP and Node.js application monitoring, performance management, problem resolution, and mentoring.
Consult with customer to determine and understand requirements of the APM product deployment.
Provide technical expertise for APM product installation and configuration, application monitoring, performance management, problem diagnosis, root cause analysis, and resolution.
Code and/or script to APM product APIs and interfaces as necessary to meet the customer’s needs.
Serve as the product expert for APM products during customer deployments.
Provide technical continuity during the customer engagement, focusing on customer success.
Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to customers on the use of APM products.
Help establish and maintain the repertoire of APM tuning and problem determination techniques.
5 plus years’ experience in the IT/Software industry, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in large scale software production environments.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with at least one application server (WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, etc.).
Business travel of approximately 75 percent yearly is expected for this position.

Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to multi-task (e.g., handle multiple projects at once).
Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Deep knowledge and understanding of J2EE/Java concepts and techniques.
.NET, PHP, or Node.js experience helpful.
Elasticsearch/Kibana, Logstash, Docker, Cloud, AWS, Azure, NoSQL knowledge and experience desired.
Good general knowledge of databases, networks, and operating systems.
Excellent communication, customer service, people skills, and project management.
Comfortable and adept at working independently at customer sites.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in presentations, to all levels of management.
Effectively communicates issues to management in a timely fashion.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field, preferably Computer Science.
