Strategic Account Manager, PowerSmart','!*!Purpose
Graybar is searching for two Strategic Account Managers to focus on specialized PowerSmart clientele. The opportunities are located on the west and east coasts, respectively. These individuals will be responsible for driving the National Lighting Renovation Sales team strategy. Objectives include increasing sales, growing margin and penetrating new and existing Graybar customers. The team's focus is on capturing energy conservation, technology upgrades, and lighting renovation opportunities. Collaborative work with local Graybar sales teams will be pivotal in planning, targeting and growing prospect pipelines and sales. Key responsibilities include attaining or exceeding the sales and gross margin rate budgets for assigned west coast cities. These roles are key players in the achievement of district sales objectives and national renovation marketing plan implementation.','!*!
Maintain account packages and business plans that support the market within the target cities; work with appropriate local district sales personnel to develop tactical plans to implement the plan; drive and justify targeted cities business plans.
Work closely with local district teams to identify targets and sales strategy with underpenetrated existing and new customers in lighting renovation.
Implement the lighting renovation sales management process utilizing business plans, pre-call plans, and post-call coaching debriefs; establish annual sales and gross margin rates for target markets.
Develop and maintain relationships with key Graybar districts and end user customers and strategic lighting and controls suppliers so that the assigned sales territory is properly positioned within the marketplace; provide guidance and support in the retention of profitable business.
Ensure the assigned sales targets have implemented effective recruiting, staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning programs in assigned area; ensure a consistent focus on delivering high quality customer service.
Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate tools and training programs within the assigned targets to support the applicable lighting renovation business growth.
Minimum of 5 years of experience required in the lighting renovation industry
Proof of upward progression within the wholesale distribution industry
Bachelor's degree in business or related field

Knowledge and understanding of the Lighting Renovation Market
Knowledge of the lighting industry players, partners, agents and channel
Knowledge of lighting fundamentals, lighting products, lighting controls technologies, product offerings, systems and applications
Knowledge of lighting industry renovation business partners and players (agents, end users, distribution)
Knowledge of Renovation supplier products, industry products and service trends
Knowledge of how to sell renovation lighting to end users
Knowledge of lighting utility, rebate programs
Knowledge of Renovation Lighting financial analysis methods and techniques
