Profile

This position is responsible for the oversight of Technical Operations Training program curriculum development and course set-up in the learning management system.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Leads a team who develops Tech Ops training programs, including regulatory and non-regulatory training (ILT and WBT)

* Ensures team members have the tools necessary to perform their work

* Acts as point of contact with leadership for team projects to include coordinating SME assignment, participation and content approvals

* Assists in developing and maintains team dashboards and KPI’s

* Conducts training needs assessments and formulates recommended learning solutions

* Communicates with other training, support and operational departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of material/content

* Develops and identifies project timelines, goals and stakeholders

* Oversees implementation of and adherence to department development and revision processes

* Oversees video production and release on department website

* Performs additional functions as assigned which may include development and maintaining Tech Ops training materials, course outlines, lesson plans, training aids, tests, publications and other course related material according to department standards

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or other business-related fields or equivalent work experience

* 5 years’ experience in corporate training and program development

* 3 years structured instructional/program development experience in adult education with curriculum development in instructor-led programs and web-based/distance learning digital channels

* Must be physically present at our DFW location (no remote work)

* Due to complexity of role, individual is expected to commit to position for at least one year

* Strong curriculum design and multi-platform delivery methods knowledge and experience

* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite of development projects or other rapid content development tools

* Experience interfacing with departments and external agencies (i.e. FAA, DOT, TSA and Labor Unions)

Preferred Qualifications

* 2 years’ experience in a leadership role

* Previous project management experience

* FAA Airframe and Powerplant license

* Previous experience developing or delivering technical content in a part 121 Air Carrier environment

* Prior experience in database management

* Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and associated guidance and the ability to interpret and apply regulations

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

* Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, functionality, administration and user interface

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong aptitude for working with other departments

* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written

* Must be able to work with deadlines, multiple projects, attend and conduct meetings and presentations

* Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop direct reports

* Ability to travel 25% as appropriate

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

* Ability to follow instructions, processes and procedures

* Ability to modify existing processes by correcting problems, resolving issues and updating existing work methods
