Micron's Supply Chain teams span the globe and as an intern you will interface with, and learn the cultures of, those global operations.
At Micron, a global semiconductor company, you will learn Supply Chain processes and systems across the following functions: Business Planning, Sales and Operations Planning, Global Supply Management, and Demand Management. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in Micron's Supply Chain performance when you lead a project and provide recommendations in how to increase efficiency and effectiveness. This experience will provide opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally to not only influence within the Supply Chain team, but also across Micron's Value Chain.
Micron's headquarters is located in Boise, Idaho. Boise is a city that is a well-kept secret from much of the U.S. Nestled in a valley, Boise's climate is mild so its residents have the ability to play in the elements throughout the year. The Boise River provides areas for walking, biking, running and golfing. Nearby areas can be filled with mountain bikers and hikers, while water-skiing is also an option. Within two hours, you may want to explore the world-class rapids that bring worldwide visitors to our region to fish, kayak, camp, or raft.

*Utilize academic best practices to improve our current processes and help Micron delight our customers *Develop understanding of Micron's Supply Chain processes and roles through business process analysis *Collaborate with the Supply Chain and extended Value Chain partners through root cause analysis and evaluation of existing processes *Provide recommendations and proposals to Supply Chain leaders on suggested improvements or efficiencies *Lead a project of substantial impact to Micron
*Ability to work in Boise, Idaho for the summer *Strong background in problem-solving capabilities *Experience with using metrics and process analysis techniques to measure work *Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) *Ability to work within and across teams *Minimum GPA of 3.50
Currently pursuing B.B.A. degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
M.S. degree in Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
