Technical Business Analyst

Job Summary:
Analysts will work with development teams, architects, and business owners, in large and small project environments, to define requirements for development, trade-off studies, system upgrades, and workflow optimization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.
• Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
• Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
• Designs details of automated systems.
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
• May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
• May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.
• May include company-wide, Web-enabled solutions.
• Converting business requirements into systems requirements
• Analyzing and optimizing business and technical processes
• Building Use Cases
• Requirements gathering and analysis
• Business process modeling
• Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical staff
• Plan and lead prototyping sessions, corporate demonstrations and requirements gathering meetings. Perform fit gap analysis and propose implementation approaches.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Bachelor's degree in CS or MIS
• 5 years experience designing and documenting web and/or client server applications that solve practical business problems
• Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
