Serve Enterprise provides cutting edge technological services in alternative payments in an innovative payment processing platform, payment card network, and new consumer payment solutions to the Enterprise Growth division of American Express. The Technical Lead is responsible for developing/establishing/implementing solution to support the global deployment teams. The position will oversee the enhancement and maintenance of the Serve platform globally. The person will work with international business stakeholders to support the evolution and implementation of the platform.
Job Responsibilities:
Works directly with customers to identify systems development needs, to clarify requirements and the objectives of the programs intent, to identify problems, recommend changes, and to determine the extent of required platform application changes
Develop, build, and maintain new capabilities in the Serve platform for our international partners
Convert business and functional requirements into world class technical design
Lead and mentor developers and business analysts identifying and establishing new service offering that meet business needs
Participates in directing the revision of existing programs to increase operating efficiency and to adapt the system to the new requirements
Responsible for maintaining standards and processes to support: software development; defining business and systems requirements; unit and system testing;
Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems
Works with employees to correct deficiencies
Provides project communication on technical deliverables to key stakeholders Lead personnel management activities including performance management and career development
Responsible for relationship management of contracting vendor and related application service partners
Provide working knowledge of how to integrate into the Serve platform.
Program and debug code as needed (to highlight standards and fix critical issues)
Qualifications:
Strong .NET framework, WCF and networking
Experience with windows services / backend processes
Security, Oracle PL/SQL, Unit Testing, TDD, Performance Testing
5-7 years experience in related field
Willingness to travel in country or internationally, as needed
Strong analytical capabilities
Solutions and results oriented recommendations
Deep understanding of new products/technologies (mobile, security, Internet, identity, authentication, REST vs. SOAP, Database Architecture)
Great communication skills
Strong relationship builder in cross-functional teams
Experience with different cultures & geographies
Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and quickly identify key issues
Experience architecting a solution and delivering in an agile environment
Solid understanding of Mobile development lifecycle, especially: iOS and Android
Bachelor Degree or advanced degree in computer science related study is preferred
