Value Added Solutions, Inc. (VAS) and V3 Technical Services, LLC (V3) has been awarded the sitewide staff augmentation contract to provide all technical and professional personnel necessary to provide radiological control services on the National Security Technology (NSTec) (Nevada Test Site) sites primarily at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) and Tonopah Test Range (TTR) located in Nye County, Nevada and North Las Vegas facility, North Las Vegas, Nevada.
NStec (Nevada Test Site) estimates project start up around the first week of May. VAS/V3 Team will start reviewing updated resumes of interested candidates and locking in positions by mid April. Initial estimate of 5-10 RCTs and Sr.RCTs to start the projects.

Requirements:
Jr. Radiological Control Technicians
Work under a qualified Radiological Control Technician (RCT) to perform and document radiation and contamination surveys, collect and analyze air samples, operate radiation monitoring and gross radioactivity measuring instrument. Perform routine surveillance and maintenance of radiological postings. Requires a minimum of a high school diploma plus one to three years experience as a RCT/Health Physics Technician/Radiation Protection Technician/Engineering Laboratory Technician. DOE RCT Core qualified or equivalent.
Radiological Control Technicians
Perform and document radiation and contamination surveys, collect and analyze air samples, operate radiation monitoring and gross radioactivity measuring instrument. Perform routine surveillance and maintenance of radiological postings. Requires a minimum of a high school diploma plus three years experience as a RCT/Health Physics Technician/ Radiation Protection Technician/Engineering Laboratory Technician. DOE RCT Core qualified or equivalent.
Senior Radiological Control Technicians
In addition to the tasks assigned to a RCT, will perform tasks of increasing difficulty, such as job coverage of moderate to complex radiological work assignments, identification of proper radiological work practices, and assist in the development of radiological work packages and radiological work permits. Requires a minimum of a high school diploma plus five years experience as a RCT/Health Physics Technician/ Radiation Protection Technician/Engineering Laboratory Technician
Lead Radiological Control Technicians
In addition to the tasks and qualifications specified and assigned to a Senior RCT, will provide direct supervision of up to ten subcontract RCTs and/or Senior RCTs assigned to the same project. The Lead RCT will take his or her direction from a Contractor RCT, Lead RCT, Health Physicist, or line management, as appropriate. The Subcontractor Lead RCT will review the direction given and ensure the direction is radiologically sound. If there are questions that cannot be resolved, the questions will be referred to the Contractor Radiological Operations Manager for resolution.
NOTE: **DOE RCT Core qualified or equivalent** NRRPT certification, commercial health physics or other training deemed acceptable by the Contractor Radiological Control Manager or designee may be deemed equivalent to DOE RCT Core qualified. DOE RCT Core test will be required if not current.
