Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to administer and maintain the operation infrastructure of the Technology Enablement Center (TEC) including network administration, setup and configuration of hardware and software used for product demonstrations, and monitoring of systems for performance.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Administer and maintain operation infrastructure of the TEC network for all TEC locations including network and switch configuration, Active Directory and DNS support, environmental monitoring and protocol execution when necessary for shutdowns, troubleshooting, and adherence to cabling / integration standards
Perform the set up, installation, and configuration of hardware and software adhering to defined SLAs
Management of the virtual infrastructure
Setup and configuration of hardware and software, including virtual machines, used for product demonstrations during TEC briefings
Responsible for the creation and quarterly update of TEC technical documentation including demonstration capabilities, rack elevations, IP address reservation, and network diagrams
Perform the following duties: o Administration of the TEC Sharepoint site o Assisting with equipment installs/removals o Communicating outages that may affect operations o Maintaining service request process changes
Other duties as required
Basic Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, OR CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or similar IT certification
At least three (3) years Information Technology experience, including network and Windows administration experience
Other Position Requirements
Experience with network and switch configuration, Active Directory and DNS support, environmental monitoring, and protocol execution
Experience working in network infrastructure environments implementing and administering LANS and WANs require
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Demonstrated knowledge of network operations
Demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory administration
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with VMWare administration
