Timken's belt division is currently looking for a Territory Manager to oversee and manage the western region with full sales and profit accountability. The position will be charged with maintaining and growing the current customer base, while adding additional distribution points as needed. The position requires direct interface with customer engineering and purchasing teams and a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape to keep pace with competitive activity and pricing. Additional responsibilities will also include developing and converting target competitive customers in support of strategic sales plan; resulting in increased market share for company.

Significant aspects of the position:

Represent Timken through personal communication and visits with each assigned customer.

Solicit new customer platforms, while seeking opportunities to expand our existing OEM and distributor business.

Search for new business opportunities with existing customer base and products and/or new customers and products in order to ensure our future growth.

Provide current market information for the forecasting process to better meet our budgets and sales objectives.

Organize a system of communication between Timken and the customer to assist in the development of an effective working relationship between both parties.

Resolve any issue(s) that may arise between the customer and Timken in order to maintain a long term relationship.

Responsible for maintaining competitive pricing, contracts, and agreements while maintaining a fair profit for Timken.

Assist in expense budget development and management and control of same.

Maximize Timken market posture and presence with an emphasis on revenue growth and profitability.

Responsible for execution of Timken growth strategy and achievement of annual sales objectives within respective geographic area of responsibility.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in business or related field

5-7 years of sales and/or marketing experience
