The Carrier team focuses on Google-branded hardware across product categories. Our team is responsible for managing partnerships with our top carriers, including developing channel strategy, negotiating commercial terms, marketing and merchandising, and overall market share goals. We partner cross-functionally with marketing, product & engineering, finance and retail marketing teams internally, and with our carrier counterparts across these disciplines.

As the Manager responsible for developing regional relationships and you will be charged with leading Google’s product success, focused on driving volume share for consumer products and all other Google branded hardware. The role requires your help to manage product launches, promotional planning, sell out tracking and collaborative forecasting.

In addition, you’ll be part of a broader carrier team focused on all aspects of our mobile business, including retail merchandising, training relationship management, and solving problems at a local level. You will partner cross-functionally with the marketing, finance, retail operations and product teams at Google to drive a successful business plan that helps us reach our goals.

The Hardware Partnerships team was formed with the purpose of bringing the best of Google’s software and hardware to our users by bringing to market and distributing a Google-branded hardware portfolio. The team is responsible for managing all partnerships with carriers, retailers and resellers worldwide. This includes the partnerships for products such as Pixel, Daydream View, Google Wifi, Chromecast Ultra and Google Home.

Responsibilities

Lead the introduction, and management of Google’s hardware products, sales planning, target setting forecasting, and budget allocations

Develop compelling and engaging promotional plans, leveraging the collective marketing assets made available by Google and partners.

Work cross functionally to ensure Google remains top of mind for our partner's regional, retail and marketing leadership, and especially with consumers and associates alike

Serve as the primary internal and external interface from a sales and day-to-day account management perspective

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of relevant work experience in sales/account management/channel management/marketing with consumer electronics or similar manufacturer, or experience working at a Telco on device business and / or retail operations/management.

4 years of industry experience in the mobile devices space specialized in the carrier channel.

Experience with planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level within a carrier sales environment with repeated financial and expansion success.

Preferred qualifications:

MBA degree.

Business Development and Sales experience in a fast-paced industry with mobile devices and services.

Hands-on relationship management experience with a proven track record in reaching and exceeding goals.

Proven top-quartile performance with increasing levels of responsibility and independence

Demonstrated strategic and analytical sales approach with focus on building relationships with clients. Established relationships and presence within the telecom sector.

Ability to manage ambiguity, solve complex problems and scale effectively across a large organization. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
