This position is responsible for leading the supply chain network optimization and design efforts to improve service level and cost of Halliburton’s existing global distribution network and to identify innovation opportunities that support the medium and long-term growth and productivity strategies for the company.
A successful candidate combines business strategy and analytic skills with experience in transportation, logistics, inventory strategy, finance, and distribution center operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop supply chain network design strategies that support the medium and long-term corporate strategy and rapidly shifting trends in the oil and gas industry
Gather and synthesize internal and external information to develop a distribution strategy that considers customers’ current and future requirements, company growth plans, competitive landscape and global supply chain’s impact on existing network
Develop models and conduct analyses to identify service and cost improvements (transportation, inventory and operating expenses) and for both domestic and international markets
Determine optimal product flows from supplier to customer
Identify and size necessary supply chain capacity investments
Identify ways to optimize inventory through stocking strategies
Synthesize and present analyses and recommendations to senior leadership for decision-making
Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal stakeholders and vendors
Evaluate and implement best-in-class network design and optimization tools
Perform other special assignments and duties as may be required
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Applied Statistics, or related fields
Minimum 5 years of work experience Supply Chain Network Design or Inventory Optimization
Proven experience conducting Flow Path Design Analysis, Network Strategy and Optimization, Transportation Strategy, Routing Optimization, and Inventory Optimization
High analytic capability with data-driven approach to solving complex supply chain problems
Proficiency in Supply Chain Modeling/Optimization Process and Tools (e.g Llamasoft, Logicnet, Insight SAILS, Caps /Infor Supply Chain Designer etc.)
Experience in high SKU count, high service distribution environments
Ability to develop actionable results, align support, and implement successfully
High level of verbal and written communications skills
Proven success in influencing, persuasion and gaining cross functional support
Ability to both work independently and as a member of teams
Ability to lead a project from start to finish
Flexibility to travel globally up to 10%
Oil and Gas service industry experience
Certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics (APICS/ISM) or other professional designation
Experience in developing capital project business cases
