**Job Summary**

AECOM Buildings Places (B P) is seeking an enthusiastic Regional Federal Market Sector Leader and Program Manager for the NY Metro Region. The primary responsibilities will be to cultivate and maintain client relationships with all DoD and non-DoD Agencies, oversee and lead multiple projects through all phases of design and construction, and actively lead the design process and various teams in the execution of quality work. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the development of regional market growth strategies, which articulate market trends/drivers and recommended priorities to successfully invest and grow, consistent with the business line’s, the region’s, and AECOM’s overall growth objectives.

This position reports directly to the B P NY Metro Regional Business Line Leader and is a key member of the Business Development and Senior Leadership Team. The NY Metro Regional Federal Market Sector Leader will be responsible for achieving annual sales goals through keen understanding of the market place and ability to lead and win key pursuits. The NY Metro Regional Federal Market Sector Leader will work with a team of Client Account Managers (CAM) on plans to grow business in the Federal market through the NY Metro Region.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:


Provides day-to-day administration of the Federal Market New York Metro practice

Will execute defined practice goals and business plan

Monitors the status of all Federal Market projects

Regularly reports regional status to Federal Market firm-wide leadership team

Assists in pursuit/client engagements, preparing project fee/scope responses, workload projections, monitors level of chargeability

Management and preparation of significant proposals, contracting and teaming negotiation, project management and establishing and sustaining relationships with key subcontractors to support the Federal business


Develops and executes strategic practice planning and marketing strategies.

Periodically act as Project Lead on specific projects or Client Account Manager for specific client relationships

Prepares and executes business plan for area of responsibility

Conducts interviews/presentations at the executive level

Communicates business performance at the end of each accounting period

Understands the industry, regional client needs, and market drivers

Clear leader for all disciplines providing services to the Federal Market Clients: Architecture, Interiors, Engineers, Consulting and Planning, as well as liaison with other Business Groups such as Project Management/Construction Management and Construction Services

Business Development

Participate in developing annual business plan for the practice

Identifies new business opportunities while developing current client relationships

Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities

Develop and maintain positive relationships with consultants, contractors and jurisdictional/approval agencies

Assist in development of fee proposals for marketing proposals as well as lead presentations with Business Line Leadership

Participates in local or state professional associations and conferences

Staff Development

Prepares and delivers staff evaluations

Participates in interviews and recruitment of professional staff

Conducts employee performance evaluations, responsible for performance development

Participates in office design reviews and critiques

Develops continuing education opportunities for the staff

**Minimum Requirements**

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field

10 years’ experience in architecture/engineering with prior management experience in all phases of projects

3 years experience in sales, business development and/or marketing

Proven ability to successfully develop client relationships and win work

Ability to manage multiple projects of a complex scope

Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint, InDesign or other presentation software

Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

**Preferred Qualifications**

Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field

15 years of experience

Registered Architect or Professional Engineer
