Operate drum filling facilities consisting of drum and tote filling stations, storage and blend tank equipment and associated piping valves and instrumentation, and drum receiving and shipping. Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

-Operate drum and tote filling equipment.

-Properly choose correct drums to roll onto conveyors.

-Stencil/Label Containers per customer requirements for filling.

-Check empty containers.

-Add dye to drums for filling.

-Assist with drum/tote shipping, including pulling full drums from line and put in proper locations.

-Repackage drums.

-Pump drums to flush tank.

-Maintain customer requirements for quality control.

-Perform daily inspections of pipelines and valves.

-Perform minor maintenance activities.

-Execute operating orders, work orders and other associated documents.

-Communicate and work with others to accomplish work tasks.

-Problem solve and troubleshoot as issues arise.

-Properly use PPE (Proper Protective Equipment).

-Perform daily housekeeping as needed.

-Other duties as directed or required.

Position Requirements


-High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience/Specific Knowledge:

-Previous work experience in a warehouse setting as it relates to operating a forklift and other associated equipment.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

-Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) as issued by TSA (Transportation Security Administration).

-Ability to become a member of the facility Emergency Response Team, including successful completion and passing of the required training and certification courses in regards to Industrial Firefighting School and Confined Space Rescue Training.

-Ability to obtain forklift certification.

Competencies, Skills, and Abilities:

-Ability to multi-task.

-Effectively communicate, verbally (face-to-face and by telephone) and in writing, in English with co-workers, contractors, customers, government officials and management.

-Read and understand written material (in English), including use and understanding of basic numerical calculations.

-Must have basic math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedures manuals.

-Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

-Ability to complete HAZ-MAT, DOT, Confined Space, and Lockout/Tag out training.

-Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check upon job offer.

Physical Demands:

-Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

-Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

-Must be willing to work in protected areas at heights greater than six (6) feet above ground.

-Must be able to work over water (dock).

-Must be able to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

-Must be able to hear and smell for deficiencies or hazards.

-Must be able to work in confined spaces (inside storage tanks).

-Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test.

-Must be able to perform tasks while wearing a full face respirator or supplied air.

-Overtime may be required and is anticipated.

-Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

-Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

-Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and required.

-Must be available to respond to call-out as assigned.

-Must be able to take direction from supervisor, keep required work schedule, focus on attention to details, and follow work rules.

-Must be able to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.

-Must be able to withstand moderate noise levels.

Preferred Experience or Skills:

-Forklift certification.

-Prior work experience in a drumming facility or liquids terminal.
