Profile

Job Responsibilities Include:
Second level support for the following primary wireless infrastructure components
Siemens/Enterasys HiPath wireless controllers and Access Points
Wireless guest access
Airtight wireless IDS systems
Assists as directed with the implementation of the HiPath Wireless Network
Develops and assists in the validation and troubleshooting of a complex wireless network
Provides very complex technical assistance and resolutions for wireless problems
Monitors the planning and day-to-day site LAN/WAN operations that includes the wireless network
Maintains the contents of the wireless Run-Book and complies with the documented operational processes and procedures
Develops, recommends, and assists with the implementation of complex wireless upgrades and/or improvements
Develops solutions to complex wireless problems, configuration issues, etc
Monitors the installation, maintenance, and monitoring systems of the HFHS wireless network
Utilizes IP packet capture tools to perform analysis in support of production issues
Performs consultative services for all client project and performance related issues/engagements
Provide established performance reporting with metrics and communicates results to the leadership team on a predetermined frequency
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
Education Required:
Bachelors degree in business or information technology and/or demonstrated ability through work experience
Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)
Focused training/seminars/workshops on wireless a/b/g/n technology, RF, and wireless security solutions
Training on desktop O/S, internetworking, VOIP, VoWLAN, QoS, SNMP, and SMARTS
Training and demonstrated working knowledge of routing protocols
Education Desired:
Bachelors degree in business, information technology, or related field
Certified Wireless Analysis Professional (CWAP)
Training on various wireless technology support and survey tools
Professional Wireless Industry Associations/Affiliations
Strong background in wired network infrastructure components including routers, switches and layer 1 technologies
Training or strong knowledge of privacy laws including HIPAA
Work Experience Required:
3-5 years of successful experience with proven demonstration of the above job description responsibilities in support of a multi-location enterprise wide area network
Direct hands-on experience with the above listed specialized solutions
Demonstrated experience with wireless design, planning, and implementation
Solid understand of inter-networking routing protocols and their integration with wireless technology
Demonstrated experience with the design, planning, and implementation of various wireless encryption methods, RFID and wireless voice solutions
Demonstrated experience with the various wireless tools such as Spectrum Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer, Fluke, Solarwinds, Infinastream and Site Survey tools
5 years experience in a complex multi-vendor network using technologies such as OC3, OSPF, DS3, T1, Layer 2/3 Switching/Routing on a various network devices and hierarchical network topology
Experience with TDM & VOIP equipment
Has quantifiable experience designing, implementing and supporting comprehensive network solutions using Networks products
Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above
Can, without assistance, plan, implement, and/or engineer network solutions based upon industry standards data equipment with intermediate to advanced complexity.
