DIV>Chase, a leading provider of diverse financial services worldwide is actively seeking a Business Systems Analyst/Data Systems Analyst to mediate between IT and business end-users, manage projects and identify solutions that enhance overall quality at Chase.
This Business Systems Analyst primary focus will be on Data. As the Data Systems Analyst, you will work with IT and Commercial Card business personnel to understand database requirements and their implication to Commercial Card products. You will be responsible for documenting conceptual data models, data dictionaries, data set diagrams and data mappings. You will work with both IT and business personnel to develop data dictionary and other detailed technical specifications that adhere to design standards to meet defined requirements. You will be responsible for end-to-end analysis of Commercial Card business systems including needs assessment, requirements gathering, prioritization, estimating, risk assessment, planning, use cases, and functional/technical specifications. Work may include analysis/documentation of systems, creation of data dictionary, identifying potential data modeling and interface file impacts and file mappings. You will work with Commercial Card IT technical analysts/developers to ensure clear understanding of technical documentation and functional specifications. Adherence to structured software development lifecycle processes and procedures will be expected.

Translate business requirements into IT application impacts and business process impacts.
Develop and update functional use cases and conduct business process modeling to explain business requirements to development and QA teams.
Assist teams to ensure requirements are translated to test plans and implement new functionalities by running training sessions, demos and documentation development.
Provide shared support for Recon Plus sub ledger application including scheduled job administration, configuration of updates and security changes.
What Education/Experience do I Need?
You have at least 5 years of experience in business process engineering, business system analysis, and accounting with a Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance/Accounting, or both.
You will have experience in systems development life cycle, authorizations/Tandem applications
Other Requirements Experience creating text scenarios and writing functional requirements. Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems or related field of study or equivalent relevant experience in software development
1 - 5 years of work experience or major in Information Technology Experience in systems development life cycle as well as experience in Authorizations/Tandem applications Understanding of the credit card processing and broad knowledge on the TSYS platforms Experience with developing Functional Specifications, Process Flows, Use Cases and other SDLC deliverables.
Self-starter with excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in structured software development methodology. Rational UML experience a plus.
Experience with Rational tools (e.g. RequisitePro, ClearQuest, etc.) a plus.
Experience in development of technical and functional specifications
Basic understanding of SQL.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Banking and/or financial services industry experience a plus.
