Tasks
- Supervise preparation, review and sign several hundred personal property tax returns filed with various municipalities
- Reviewing tax assessment notices, settle disputed valuations, and file appeals, if necessary. Manage & assist local counsel in litigation process
- Review and approve property tax bills for payment
- Understanding of relevant state statutes, case law, valuation principles and cable TV/telephony technology to enable **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. to minimize property tax expenses
- Manage property tax audits while attempting to minimize tax expense
- Special projects as assigned (budgeting, accrual review, projections, other projects)
- Punctual, regular & consistent attendance
Requirements
- B.S Degree in Accounting
- CPA, CMA or CMI preferred
- At least 10 years work experience including 5 years of property tax experience
