Patent Attorney
The candidate should have a background in biology or biochemistry (preferably an advanced degree). Responsibilities include developing strategies to bring products to market and provide maximum value to Hospira. Should have 3+ years of experience in patent litigation, more experience is advantageous. Experience in invalidity and infringement advices is essential, and experience in patent drafting and patent prosecution is also desirable. Must have an ability to develop and implement strategies to maximize the value of products being developed or in-licensed, to work with a large variety of people, manage external law firms and participate and add value to the global Intellectual Property Group. Salary is competitive and there is an incentive bonus program for all professional employees of the company. 3 years of experience either in the pharmaceutical industry or providing legal advice to the pharmaceutical industry is needed. Experience in patent litigation and providing invalidity and infringement advices is essential.
