There were a host of processions and events across Canada, too, initiated by ''go green'' clubs which included Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, the Council of Canadians, and the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition.
''The future economy will be a ‘clean-energy economy,' where the focus will be centered on energy efficiency through the use of renewable resources and alternative fuels. The path there will not be easy, however, as massive green investment and innovative market policies need to be wedded to greener job opportunities that will help in reviving the present economy,'' adds Barnes.
