A territorial dispute between Japan and China is wearing on Toyota’s sales, but the car manufacturer is reporting less loss this month than the three previous months. The company has been offering sales incentives and discounts, which may be attributing to some of the potential recovery. The main protest is based around the Japanese purchase of two East China Sea islands, and the wave of anti-Japan sentiment that followed. This has even caused one man to be attacked for driving a Toyota, leaving the population afraid to be seen supporting a Japanese company.
