The Cherokee Nation is holding employment testing for the U.S. Census Bureau. The bureau is seeking candidates to fill local temporary and part-time jobs for work on the 2010 Census.
Several opportunities are available for individuals to work as census takers, supervisors, recruiters or clerks with starting pay at $10 per hour, according to the Sequoyah County Times.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau Web site, the census is conducted every 10 years to help determine government representation and allocations of federal funds for use on roads, parks, schools and safety.
