As the number of jobless continue to grow in Colorado, more and more unemployed are facing obstacles in receiving help from the government.
In five of the past seven months, the state has seen record unemployment claims. Mike Cullen, director of Colorado's unemployment insurance program, told The Rocky Mountain News that this means as many as 330 people are on hold to talk to representatives at any given time and the average wait is one hour and 15 minutes.
The rush of unemployed has delayed benefits as well.
The state's unemployment rate hit 5.8 percent in November.
